I had Andrew as my painting teacher this fall at nyaa, and I’m glad I did, because I love his work, and also he’s a nice dude. He works from life from start to finish (on rooftops a lot of the time, as you can see from this painting). In class he emphasized catching the time with color, which he does masterfully in my opinion.
