I’m throwing out my old scenic painting assignments, they are all crumpled from improper storage and too huge to keep. This was a cool exercise where we painted a scene that could transition from light to dark depending on if it was lit from the back or front. If you can’t tell, the second image is of the same canvas just in front of my window. (You paint black on the back of the canvas in the areas you don’t want to be illuminated, and you do thin dye washes for the areas you do.)
